Climbing Bulgoksan with My Thoughts and Headphones

Today, I hiked up Bulgoksan Mountain (335m) again.

The air was fresh, the trees were whispering,

and my legs remembered the trail like an old friend.

While walking, I listened to English audio lessons as always.

I’ve been doing this every day — running along the Tancheon Stream,

climbing hills, and listening with focus.

But honestly, sometimes I wonder:

“Am I really improving?”

It’s funny how time flies when I’m doing what I love,

but slows down painfully when I’m trying to grow.

Learning a language feels exactly like hiking a mountain —

the path looks endless, the top feels far,

and yet, with every step, something changes inside me.

Maybe the real progress is not just in my English,

but in the strength I build by not giving up.

At the top of the mountain, I smiled.

The view didn’t speak,

but it felt like it said:

“Keep going. You’re already changing.”
